Changing the rules of the CCUS game!

Introducing our law firm

CTS: CO2 Transport and Storage directly from a ship: flexible and cost-effective solutions for European offshore storage

What is CTS?

CTS is an international research project funded under CETP (Clean Energy Transition Partnership) program in 2024 - 2025.

The project is set to investigate how to make Carbon Capture, Transport and Offshore Storage (CCS) value chains cheaper, more flexible and faster to implement by using ships not only for transport, but injection of carbon dioxide.

Key activities

01.

Creating CCS value chain

What is applicability sweetspot for direct injection from ship technology? How do we build scenarios and what do scenarios include?

02.

Techno-economic and life-cycle analysis

Once scenarios are in place we will perform TEA / LCA analysis to evaluate and compare key KPIs like cost of tonn CO2 avoided.

03.

Supporting further development

Taking the most ripe scenarios once step forward towards implementation

04.

End-User Engagement

Mapping and engaging with stakeholders. Arranging industry events, promoting CCS and finding partners for future technology rollout

This research was funded by CETPartnership, the Clean Energy Transition Partnership under the 2022 CETPartnership joint call for research proposals, co-funded by the European Commission (GA N°101069750) and with the funding organizations detailed on https://cetpartnership.eu/funding-agencies-and-call-modules.”
